This study aims to improve the performance of a pneumatic positioning system by designing control based on Fuzzy Fractional Order Proportional Integral Derivative (Fuzzy FOPID) controllers. The system’s mathematical model was obtained using identification approach, and FOPID controller optimized PSO algorithm achieve balance between robustness. compared that PID through real-time experimental results, which showed former provided better rapidity, stability, precision. proposed applied pneumatically actuated ball beam (PABB) system, where used for inner loop another outer loop. results demonstrated intelligent actuator, when coupled with controller, can accurately robustly system.
